With special screws the cases of the Shell series can be protected against unauthorized opening. This means that the tablet cannot be removed anymore just by opening the clips. The screws also contribute to the seal. This prevents a situation where a clip opens and causes a drop in pressure on the case seal, even if a serious fall occurs or it is misused.
The number of screws varies dependent on the Shell case.
With the RAM-KNOB5LU it is possible to additionally lock middle sections after they have been screwed on. Opening them without the key is impossible after that. A similar locking feature is available for B-ball modules.
In combination with the security screws mentioned above, it is possible to securely fasten the device on vehicles or during presentations
