RAM-Mount modules are available in five sizes, whereby for the Shell™ cases ball sizes B (e.g. for the aiShell™ mini) and C are the most suitable. The latter are bigger and more stable. They are connected to the Shell™ either directly or via one of the available brackets. The brackets have a hole pattern that is suitable for both B and C ball modules.
To mount them in vehicles, sometimes special solutions are required if no holes may be drilled.
For this the no-drill fasteners are particularly suitable.
At best, B-ball modules are suitable for our smallest case – the aiShell™ mini. They are especially popular for installations where limited use of space is a decisive factor. They are often the preference of motorcyclists and cyclists. There are many fastening possibilities, such as those of the rearview mirror mount.
C-ball modules have a considerable amount of strength in reserve, and are highly suitable for all Shell™ cases. Even strong vibrations, for example those experienced on forklifts, are absorbed by the cushioning elastomer layer.
The suction cup holders listed under the B- and C-Ball modules are simple and practical, but they often have the disadvantage of having to be attached to the windscreen, which obstructs the view to the outside.
This is where the No-Drill mountings come in. They allow you to attach the aiShell™ to other places. With the No-Drill mounts, you can use the aiShell™ system in the vehicle without having to drill holes in it. This is particularly necessary when using leasing or rental vehicles. But for safety reasons, it is often not possible to drill additional holes in sports aircraft or the like.
